Emma and I have often talked about how choosing the right setting for your ceremony should be one that matches your personalities, and can make the difference between a great wedding and one that people remember and talk about for years to come.
We are lucky enough to live and work in a seaside town and nothing is more beautiful at this time of year than the sunsets that we see nightly over the bay. And in fact we were in the middle of a meeting a couple of evenings ago, when we were just stopped in our tracks by the glorious view and agreed that wouldn’t it just be wonderful for couples to marry against that backdrop. We then got talking about which of the venues we work with would we choose if we wanted something as magnificent as this – and there was only one answer – the Grand Pier in Weston super Mare.
From the atmospheric walk from the entrance ……..
to the ceremony room (which technically is half a mile out at sea!) …
Everything is perfect for those photo opportunities which will last for years.
Of course, now that the government has announced in the budget that it intends to change the law in England and Wales to lower restrictions on outdoor weddings, we could all be competing with Mother Nature to provide settings such as this …
And even we could struggle to improve on that!
Whatever venue you do choose, your day will always be joyous and special and you will remember it for the rest of your lives.
